Outpatient Surgery is a special facility on the second floor, specifically designed and staffed for surgical procedures that are performed during a short stay in the hospital. Outpatient surgery represents the latest technique in low cost, quality care for outpatient surgical procedures. Because a patient is admitted, has surgery and is released the same day, the savings over a full service hospital stay are considerable. An added benefit is that the patient is usually back home by nightfall. That, of course, means a greatly shortened absence from family, school or work.
